Home Sweet Home – Birds in the Bushes Sashing Tutorial
Here’s a new block using the ‘snowball’ I showed in the Trees in Blossom tutorial. We’re going to make 4 Tree Top blocks and sew them together for ‘bushes’.
Cutting Instructions
Bush (green birds): 4 – 3.5” x 3.5”
Corners A.:8 – 1.5” x 1.5”
Corners B.: 8 – 1.25” x 1.25”
Follow the instructions for Tree Tops in the Trees in Blossom tutorial to add the corners to the bush fabric.
Once you have your four 3.5” blocks made sew them all together to make yet another sashing! ![]()
You can see the ‘Birds in the Bushes’ Sashing between the blocks Two Trees and Scrappy Trees.
The sashings for the Home Sweet Home Quilt Along are coming along nicely – you should see my design wall! More tutorials coming soon!
